The second-hand marketplace Shoppers Express Anger Regarding Size Updates
Vinted users have been reacting angrily due to a modification that led to products showing incorrect sizing.
The second-hand shopping app has updated its size classifications for women's and children's clothes but did not contact all shoppers about the modification.

Many shoppers and sellers have taken to social media saying Vinted listings now show a modified sizing category compared to what was initially listed due to the recalibration.
The platform stated the updated approach better aligns with other platforms.
They have suggested members to examine their items and manually change the size if necessary, resulting in member annoyance.
Size Classification Modifications
Earlier, the sizing featured numerical and alphabetical indicators, like S/8 or M/10.
The new system has a letter and a range like S/UK 8-10.
For certain items, the size labels have been reassigned - like an L measurement was formerly size 12 but is now a UK 16-18.
Shopper Stories
One content creator, who produces content about larger sizing, stated the update "complicates both purchasing and selling".
"Rarely do manufacturers list XL as sizes 20-22," which is what Vinted now does.
Stephanie Gallen, based in Glasgow, stated items she posted featuring size 14 markings were showing in the marketplace as size 20–22.
"If anyone [who is] size 20-22 buys them they may become frustrated," she stated.
Required Changes
Charlotte Lunn, located in England, explained she became annoyed by the change as she had to manually change the sizing for "all her products".
"Personally, this is quite irritating, since I have chronic health issues and platform income has been essential for me since losing part of my income," she explained.
Marketplace Information
The platform boasts over 100 million users, comprising 18 million UK members.
It has emerged as a preferred choice to second-hand platforms like eBay and Depop.
This isn't the first time where an unanticipated change on the platform has faced criticism: earlier, the service retracted a modification concerning shipment methods after backlash from users.
